OUR HISTORY

We are an American-Ukrainian charitable partnership dedicated to helping medics in Ukraine save lives on the frontline. Partners: Leleka Foundation, a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2014, and Сharitable foundation Leleka-Ukraine. Our mission is to help medics in Ukraine save lives on the front lines.

Our Mission Born in 2014

The roots of Leleka Foundation trace back to the spring of 2014, when Russia launched its initial invasion of Ukraine, illegally annexing Crimea and occupying parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

During those early days, a group of dedicated individuals—Yurii Kubrushko, Ivan Vidyakin, Svitlana Kostylova, and Vadim Geshel—came together with a shared purpose: to raise funds and supply tactical medical aid to Ukrainian defenders.

Recognizing the growing need for a structured and efficient approach to supporting frontline medics, they made a pivotal decision. In October 2014, they formally established Leleka Foundation, a U.S.-based non-profit organization committed to providing lifesaving medical support where it’s needed most.

From a grassroots fundraising effort to a fully operational system, Leleka Foundation has remained steadfast in its mission: to equip Ukraine’s frontline medics with the tools they need to save lives.
