Rapid Evacuation Project: Leleka’s CASEVAC Project Expands with 13 New Land Cruisers

In war, every minute counts. Rapid evacuation is critical to ensure wounded soldiers and civilians can survive long enough to receive proper medical care.

In 2023, the Leleka Foundation, in partnership with the Pfizer Foundation and Yellowblue Force Foundation, launched a project to support frontline medical evacuation by providing 13 brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser 70s — the same model trusted by the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and OSCE for operations in the most demanding environments.

All vehicles were purchased directly from Toyota Gibraltar and delivered in four phases to medics performing medical evacuation in the frontline areas during 2023-2025.

The Land Cruiser 70 has become the gold standard for CASEVAC (Casualty Evacuation) in Ukraine — praised for its durability, adaptability to harsh terrain, and ability to be fully customized for frontline medical use.

Leleka also provided additional preparation for each vehicle:

  • Installed anti-drone protection systems
  • Custom-equipped with medical stretchers, trauma gear, storage organizers, and other life-saving modifications tailored to the needs of specific medics.

Through this project, Leleka is ensuring that more lives can be saved — even in the most dangerous conditions — by giving medics the tools they need to evacuate and stabilize patients quickly and safely.

The total cost of the project is $480,067.
